Home to what many consider the world’s best Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough, New Zealand is quickly setting a global standard for this varietal. A combination of hot, sunny days and fresh, cool nights create near-perfect growing conditions and produce a crisp, fruity taste, unique to this distinctive region.

Our 2015 vintage is vibrant and fruit driven with intense gooseberry aromas supported by hints of blackcurrant. On the palate citrus and lime flavours are married with complex stone fruit qualities. These classical Marlborough flavours are concentrated and intense, matched with fine acidity making a wine with great balance and length.

Winemaker’s Notes

Cooler summer temperatures in early December affected Sauvignon Blanc flowering, resulting in considerably lower yields than in 2014, however our other key varieties were largely unaffected. The reduced crop levels, coupled with warm, dry summer conditions, resulted in very even ripening and exceptional flavour concentration. Harvesting began in the last week of March, with the hot, dry autumn weather ensuring all grapes were harvested by the second week of April. This ideal weather allowed the harvest to progress without interruption, producing some of the most concentrated and exciting wines of recent vintages. The 2015 Sauvignon Blanc wines are characterised by concentrated tropical and stone fruit aromatics, with ripe, full flavoured palate depth and fine mineral acidity.
